Rotary Club of Secunderabad West


Rotarians, Anns and Annets from Three Clubs in Hyderabad had a great day on 30 Oct 2011 at a Farm house away from hustle and bustle of the City.

Itwas the day for Diwali Fellowship at the garden of Rtn VSR Murthy, President RC Secunderabad. The farm house which is otherwise serene andcalm, became lively from 10:30 AM when people started arriving. The farm house is located around 50 Kms from Hyderabad, near Shamsabad Airport. It is around 35 acres covered with variety of trees including -Mango, Guava, Lemon, Coconut etc.

The participating three clubs were - Rotary Clubs of Secunderabad, Bhagyanagar and Secunderabad West.

Thefirst program was Vanasantarpana - Pooja on account of Karthika Masam (Month in Telugu calender). The pooja was performed under Berry Tree (Amla) in the traditional way, followed by sacred chants. Everyone participated with great enthusiasm and this was followed by sumtuous lunch.

Apart from feast for tongue, there was a good feast for the ears as Light Music program with orchestra was organised rendering melodious popular numbers.

Post Lunch session was more lively as crackers were Burst to celebrate Diwali.  Children had a great day out  Children were seen playing, jumping, climbing trees and having a great time with their independence unleashed in the vast area.
